In this home, the entire upper floor was fitted with Wilms built-on roller shutters. The homeowners chose extra comfort for their bedrooms, bathrooms and home office.

The roller shutters keep out strong sunlight and heat, helping the home stay pleasantly cool on warm days. They also provide extra privacy, reduce outside noise and allow the rooms to be completely darkened whenever needed. This contributes to a calm and comfortable night’s sleep.

On the inside of the home, the box of the built-on roller shutters remains visible, but thanks to the dark finish, it blends in nicely with the window frames. On the outside, the box was integrated into the façade. At the dormer window, a wooden finish was chosen, allowing the roller shutters to blend naturally into the home’s country-style architecture. Functionality and a neat finish come together here in a fine example of craftsmanship.
